Boccara Gallery is a luxurious 8,000-sq.ft. space showcasing antique and contemporary rugs and tapestries by some of the greatest artists of the 20th century, including Sonia Delaunay, Jean Lurçat, Alexander Calder, Fernand Léger, Wassily Kandinsky and Victor Vasarely. The owner, Didier Marien, is a pioneer in exhibiting modern tapestry in galleries and salons and associating them with antique tapestry. Boccara Gallery is also presenting a diverse selection art and design items in other decorative categories, including a glamorous furniture collection, particular for its avant-garde sculptural approach and a focus on asymmetry, that Didier Marien and Jean-Yves Lanvin–the great grandson of couturier Jeanne Lanvin-have created, and which was handmade in Lanvin’s own foundry and workshop.
Boccara also deals in sculpture and contemporary painting by internationally acclaimed artists, among them Clément Rosenthal, Monique Rozanès, Pollès, Léon Zack, Wang Keping. Moreover, the gallery has been continuously discovering and giving way to new talents, such as Flore Sigrist and Antoine Leclercq.
