Detailed information

Etoile aux trois couleurs by Alexander Calder. Calder began designing tapestries in 1962 which continued until the end of his career, with Ateliers Pinton as his exclusive producer of this work. Consistent with the Aubusson tradition, editions were limited to six with two artists’ proofs. Created in 1971, “Etoile aux trois couleurs” or “three-colored star,” bears Calder’s signature and that of Ateliers Pinton Frères. This is the last of the edition, EXA, and is fully documented.
