Nude Banner

Tapestry, 69 x 57 in.

Tom Wesselmann
Detailed information

Tom Wesselman initiated the Nude Banner project around 1968, proposing a first textile felt version that was to be published in 20 copies. However, this edition of 20 felt proofs was not completed since the artist then preferred vinyl to continue and finish it. Also, the limited print run of 20 copies of Nude Banner was scrupulously respected but under the two versions combined; textile felt and vinyl.
